Kolkata metro to be extended till Hooghly's Chuchura? Here's what Railway minister says
A class four student who left home for school this morning was later reported missing by the family when they learned the child did not arrive at school. Concerned, the family informed the Bidhannagar police commissioner, leading to a missing diary being filed at Laketown police station. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, the police discovered that the child had boarded a bus from Howrah station instead of heading to school.
Acting quickly, the police contacted the railway police at Howrah station, who successfully located the boy inside the station. After questioning, the police revealed that the child had left home due to feeling distressed over being disciplined by his parents.
During a press conference today, Bidhan Nagar Police DC Anish Sarkar addressed the incident, urging parents to be cautious when disciplining their children. He emphasized the importance of avoiding actions that could cause emotional trauma, stressing that parental discipline should be balanced with care and understanding.
