A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a government school peon and his accomplice in Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh, police said. The incident came to light five months later when the girl's parents discovered she was pregnant and filed a complaint on Saturday.
Police said that a few months ago, the girl had gone to the washroom at night, when the school people, Pankaj and another person from the village, Amit, caught her. They took her to an empty house where Amit raped her, while Pankaj kept a watch outside.
The girl was then threatened that she would be killed if she revealed the incident to anyone. However, on Saturday, her mother found that she was five months pregnant, following which she revealed the incident.
An FIR has been lodged on charges of rape and under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the accused. No arrests have been made in the case yet, an official said. Pankaj got a job as a peon in a council school as the dependent of a deceased, police said.
