Congress leader Santosh Pathak launched a scathing attack on Trinamool MP Sudip Bandopadhyay, accusing him of neglecting his responsibilities amid the ongoing RG Kar case.
Pathak criticized Bandopadhyay for not visiting the affected area, stating, "Such a big scandal happened in RG Kar, but the local MP did not even go there to take a peek."
He further alleged that Bandopadhyay is more focused on spending time with his wife, Nayana Bandyopadhyay, rather than addressing the concerns of his constituents.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) added fuel to the fire by creating a ruckus during the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) session over the junior doctor's rape and murder case. BJP members demanded immediate action and accountability, leading to a heated debate.
The session became so contentious that BJP members ultimately staged a walkout, expressing their dissatisfaction with the handling of the situation by the ruling party.
