Mamata calls urgent meeting at Nabanna tomorrow, key administrative officials to attend
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) disclosed on Thursday that Sanjay Roy, the prime accused in the Kolkata rape-murder case, showed no remorse for his actions and displayed disturbing psychological traits. Roy, who was a civic volunteer with Kolkata Police, is accused of brutally raping and murdering a 31-year-old trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9.
The CBI had ordered a psychoanalytic profile of Roy, conducted by experts from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), which revealed that Roy was addicted to pornography and possessed "animal-like instincts." According to a CBI officer, Roy narrated the details of the crime with unsettling precision, showing no signs of repentance.
Before the case was transferred to the CBI by the Calcutta High Court, local police had already discovered a significant amount of pornographic material on Roy's mobile phone, which was seized during the investigation. The CBI has confirmed that technical and scientific evidence firmly places Roy at the crime scene.
