PM Modi push for global peace, strenthening ties during historic Poland visit

During his landmark visit to Poland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized India's commitment to fostering close ties with all nations. This visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 45 years, was marked by a warm reception from the Indian community in Warsaw.

Addressing the community, PM Modi underscored India's legacy of peace, rooted in the teachings of Lord Buddha, and reiterated India's stance that this is not an era of war. He emphasized that India believes in resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy, advocating for global peace and development.

PM Modi expressed gratitude to the Indian community in Poland for their support of Indian students during the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022. Highlighting the deep historical ties between India and Poland, he mentioned the respect and love the people of Poland have shown towards Jam Saheb and his family, evidenced by the Good Maharaja Square.

In a significant announcement, PM Modi unveiled the Jam Saheb Memorial Youth Action Programme, which will annually invite 20 Polish youths to visit India. He praised the contributions of Indians worldwide, noting their efforts in entrepreneurship, caregiving, and the service sector.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the shared democratic values between India and Poland, noting India's role as the mother of democracy and its vibrant, participative nature, which was evident in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
