In response to the 'Reclaim The Night' protest, Kolkata Metro Rail is adjusting its services to accommodate the increased demand. The protest, scheduled for the night of August 14, is a response to the recent rape and murder of a female doctor.
To support participants, Kolkata Metro will provide two additional trains before the last regular service. The additional trains will run from Dum Dum and Kavi Subhash stations at 10:00 PM and 10:20 PM, respectively.
The last metro will still depart at 10:40 PM, with all booking counters remaining open until then. This service adjustment aims to facilitate the protest, which will take place across various city locations, including Jadavpur and College Street.
