A tragic plane crash occurred today in the city of Vinhedo, located in Brazil's São Paulo state. The ATR-72 aircraft, operated by Voepass Linhas Aéreas, was carrying 62 passengers on a flight from Cascavel, in the state of Paraná, to Guarulhos in São Paulo when it crashed.
The aircraft plummeted into a densely forested area near Vinhedo, where it was followed by a massive plume of black smoke rising from the crash site. Local firefighters, who swiftly responded to the scene, confirmed the crash, but details regarding casualties or survivors remain uncertain at this time.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing flames and thick smoke engulfing the crash site, with the remnants of the plane's fuselage visible amidst the wreckage. Emergency responders are working to assess the situation, though the extent of the damage and the fate of those on board are still unknown.
