In the Round of 16 match, Aman showcased his dominance by securing a 10-0 win over North Macedonia’s Vladimir Egorov. He continued his impressive run in the quarterfinal as well with a 12-0 technical superiority win against Albania’s Zelimkhan Abakanov.
Despite his earlier victories, Aman faced a tough challenge in the semifinal, where he was defeated by Japan’s top-seeded wrestler, Rei Higuchi, on Tuesday. Sehrawat rebounded with incredible resilience in the bronze medal match. His victory over Darian Toi Cruz not only earned him a place on the podium but also extended India's impressive streak in Olympic wrestling.
