A private state bank employee was killed in Rajarhat, Bhardupur. The deceased, Prasoon Biswas (30), was a manager.
Around 4:30 pm, Prasoon was attacked with knives by assailants as he left his house. He fell to the ground, bleeding profusely, covering the road with blood. Rushed to a local private hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.
High-ranking police officials from the Bidhannagar Commission collected samples from the scene. Mohammad Kabir, a resident of Rajarhat Raigachi, has been arrested in connection with the murder. Kabir claimed, "That bank employee was abusing me. I killed him because I missed a week’s installment payment."
The attending doctor confirmed Prasoon was dead upon arrival at the hospital.
