Passengers aboard Indigo flight 6E 7674 from Kolkata to Ranchi faced an unexpected delay on Wednesday evening due to a mechanical fault. Scheduled to depart at 7:25 PM, the flight eventually took off after 8:30 PM, leaving passengers frustrated and questioning the airline's maintenance practices.
According to sources at Kolkata International Airport, the aircraft was preparing to proceed from the taxi bay to the runway when an engine malfunction was detected. The pilot promptly contacted air traffic control and diverted the plane to bay number 11L for inspection.
Engineers from the airline arrived to address the issue, but the repairs took over an hour to complete, during which time passengers remained inside the plane. This delay has sparked anger among passengers, who are demanding better maintenance and safety protocols from the airline.
