Mamata to begin district visits in August, will start with Jhargram

Following the conclusion of the Lok Sabha elections, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to resume her extensive district tours. Having not reviewed the district-level work for some time due to election activities, the Chief Minister will start visiting various districts from August, conducting administrative meetings to assess ongoing projects and progress.

Mamata Banerjee will kick off her tour from Jhargram, located in the Jangalmahal area, where the Trinamool Congress performed well in the recent Lok Sabha elections. The Chief Minister will spend two days in Jangalmahal during the second week of August. This visit coincides with the celebration of Tribal Day on August 9, an event the state government commemorates annually. This year, the state-level program will be held at the Jhargram Stadium, as chosen by the Chief Minister.

Party sources indicate that Mamata Banerjee will participate in the Tribal Day celebrations on August 9 at the Jhargram Stadium. Preparations for the Chief Minister's visit are already underway, with the Jhargram District Trinamool Congress organizing a meeting at the Central Bus Terminal Chowk in Jhargram city to discuss and prepare for the event. The district leaders are focused on ensuring a smooth and well-attended celebration.

In addition to the Tribal Day festivities, the Chief Minister will review the functioning of the municipality and the status of various projects before her arrival. Administrative sources have confirmed that Mamata Banerjee will reach Jhargram on the afternoon of August 8 and will stay overnight at the Jhargram Tourist Complex. She will then take part in the World Indigenous Day program at the Jhargram Stadium on August 9.
