Good news for Metro commuters! Metro Railway Authorities have announced an increase in services on the Orange Line between Kavi Subhash and Hemanta Mukhopadhyay Metro stations starting from 5 August 2024 (Monday). A total of 74 services (37 UP + 37 DN) will be operated on this stretch at an interval of 20 minutes. Currently, 48 services (24 UP + 24 DN) run daily from Monday to Friday on the Orange Line. Now, services will also be available on Saturdays.
Additionally, the service hours on this stretch are being extended. Services will begin at 08.00 hrs from both Kavi Subhash and Hemanta Mukhopadhyay stations, instead of 09.00 hrs. The last services from these terminal stations will be available at 20.00 hrs, instead of 16.40 hrs. As usual, there will be no services on Sundays.
