Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, known for his criticisms of the Narendra Modi government favoring businessmen Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani, referred to them as "A1" and "A2" in the Lok Sabha on Monday. This move came after Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla objected to naming individuals not part of the House in parliamentary discussions.
During his address, Rahul Gandhi claimed that Adani and Ambani have a monopoly over India's wealth and asked how to refer to them without using their names, given Birla's repeated interruptions. "Two industrialists are controlling the country... If I cannot take their names in the House, then I will have to say something, I will just say A1 and A2," Rahul Gandhi said. "I will call Adani and Ambani A1 and A2 in Lok Sabha, this is acceptable, right?" he added.
Gandhi also took a jibe at Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who intervened during his speech. "Union Minister Kiren Rijiju is defending A1 and A2, he will do it because he is compelled to do so. He has orders from the top," Rahul said.
In his speech, Rahul Gandhi used the analogy of Mahabharata's 'chakravyuha' to target the BJP-led NDA government, accusing it of creating an "atmosphere of fear" in the country.
