Businessman Arif was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon on Friday in the Panchanangram area under the Anandpur police station in Kolkata. In connection with the case, police arrested an accused, Zakir alias Lily, on Sunday.
However, two other suspects remain at large. The police are conducting continuous raids to apprehend both fugitives. On Friday night, Arif had arrived in Panchanangram for work when he was attacked by Abbas and his two accomplices.
Arif was assaulted with a chopper multiple times, leading to his death. During the investigation, it was revealed that Abbas was not acting alone. Zakir, who has been arrested, is one of the accomplices involved in the attack.
