A fire broke out in a tin slum house on Ramdulal Sarkar Street, near Maniktala in North Kolkata around 8:57 am on Friday. The blaze caused significant panic as people were inside the house at the time of the incident.
Five fire engines were quickly dispatched to the scene and successfully brought the fire under control. Despite the rapid response, the fire consumed everything in the house, leaving it completely burnt to ashes.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities are investigating the incident. Fortunately, everyone managed to escape in time, though one person sustained injuries and has been admitted to the hospital.
