A shocking incident of an attack on police by miscreants has emerged from North Dinajpur district, creating widespread panic. Four policemen sustained serious injuries in the attack and have been admitted to a nursing home in Siliguri for treatment.
The incident occurred during a police raid in Chopra, where the miscreants attacked the officers with sharp weapons. The police team had gone to apprehend the accused when they were ambushed. Among the injured are two police officers, a constable, and a driver, all of whom are in serious condition.
Last night, the police of Jalpaiguri were attacked as well by miscreants. During a Naka check, a suspicious vehicle tried to flee. During the chase, the unknown miscreants fired at least 3 rounds at the cops.
