In a startling incident in Jalpaiguri, police officers faced a dangerous situation while impounding a suspicious vehicle. Shots were fired at the police, causing panic among the residents. Fortunately, the lives of the police personnel were saved.
Late Wednesday night, Jalpaiguri police officers were conducting routine Naka checking. They noticed a car behaving suspiciously and decided to investigate. When they approached the vehicle, the occupants attempted to flee.
The police quickly gave chase, and during the pursuit, the suspects allegedly fired at the police car. According to sources, the miscreants fired at least three rounds before escaping. An investigation is now underway to locate the vehicle and its occupants. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to assist in their search.
