Actress Rhea Chakraborty has recently opened up about her experiences following the death of her boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in 2020. In her new podcast, Chapter 2, Chakraborty, who was last seen in the film Chehre, discussed her journey with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. Reflecting on the aftermath of Rajput's death and the subsequent media trial, Chakraborty expressed frustration over the timing of support she received. "Ab bolne se kya faida hai, jab hua tab toh nahi the," she said, indicating her disappointment with those who showed sympathy only after the events had unfolded.
Chakraborty recounted how the public's perception of her had become distorted, leading to significant backlash. She shared, "What I went through is people hated the personality of Rhea. They didn't have a problem with me. They had an issue with the perception of my public image that I carefully cultivated for myself." Despite the tumultuous period, which included jail time, Chakraborty is focused on reclaiming her narrative. She was recently granted permission to travel to Thailand by a special court in Mumbai. On the professional front, she continues to rebuild her career and was seen in the mystery thriller Chehre, directed by Rumi Jaffery.
