Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose got a clean chit in connection with the molestation allegations against him after he reportedly conducted an inquiry through a retired judge from Puducherry over the charges. As per the report of the inquiry, it was found that the allegations leveled by the complainant were baseless.
The inquiry report furnished on May 11, 2024, said, "The analysis of testimony from individuals who witnessed and were present in the immediate proximity of the locations of the alleged incident leads to a singular conclusion that the complainant's conduct, timing, and chosen strategies raise doubts and are seemingly not above board. The allegations and the manner of their execution are shrouded in a shadow of doubt".
However, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday rubbished the findings of the inquiry into molestation allegations against Governor CV Ananda Bose, wondering if "it is a comedy?"
TMC leader Kunal Ghosh rejected the findings of the inquiry and said "Is it a comedy or what? How come he conducts an inquiry against himself, under himself, and that too by someone who is an acquaintance of his? If he is innocent, he should be saying that he would not take undue advantage of Article 361 and is ready to face the probe".
"So, I think there is a comedy serial being run inside the Raj Bhavan. It is useless. What the Supreme Court says about Article 361, we are waiting for that", Ghosh added.
