Fans eagerly anticipate the release of "Bad Newz," featuring Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk, and Triptii Dimri. According to a report from Sacnilk.com, the lighthearted comedy has already surpassed 1 crore in advance bookings for its opening day.
The report reveals that 50,768 tickets have been sold across 6,472 shows, grossing 1.41 crore in Hindi bookings alone. With strong advance sales, the film is expected to perform well at the box office upon its release on July 19.
However, "Bad Newz" recently stirred controversy on social media due to mixed fan reactions to the romantic track "Jaanam." While some praised Vicky and Triptii's chemistry, others found it awkward. The film underwent scrutiny by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) Examining Committee, resulting in the censorship of three intimate scenes.
The CBFC modifications include altering visuals of kissing scenes without cutting any frames, totaling 27 seconds across three instances. These edits will be evident when the film screens.
Directed by Anand Tiwari, "Bad Newz" is a dramedy exploring complex family dynamics with humor. The film's trailer introduces Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk as protagonists navigating unexpected fatherhood challenges, complemented by Triptii Dimri's comedic presence. Written by Ishita Moitra and Tarun Dudeja, the film promises entertainment as it hits theaters on July 19.
