Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal recently opened up about his family's hardships, recounting how his father, Sham Kaushal, once contemplated suicide due to joblessness despite holding an MA in English Literature. Kaushal shared that his family, originally from a small village in Punjab, faced financial challenges, pushing his father to the brink of despair. Despite landing a stable job, Kaushal chose to pursue acting, a decision that diverged from his family's expectations for a secure career path.
Sham Kaushal's journey took a turn when he was sent to Mumbai in 1978 by his concerned grandfather, willing to take on any work, including sweeping, to support his family financially. Vicky reflected on his own decision to reject a conventional job offer after college, opting instead to follow his passion for acting, a move that eventually led him to a successful career in Bollywood. His upcoming film, Bad Newz, co-starring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, is set to release on July 19.
