A Trinamool worker has been accused of torturing a woman by tying her in chains in South 24 Parganas' Sonarpur area. According to reports, Jamaluddin Sardar was accused of calling a woman to his house in the name of getting her justice and torturing her.
The name of the victim woman is Rashida Bibi. It is alleged that despite giving information to the police station, no action was taken. After the BJP Mahila Morcha received the complaint, party leader Agnimitra Paul went to Rashida Bibi's house on Tuesday. She went to Sonarpur police station and talked to the officers present there.
However, TMC leader Jamaluddin is denying the allegations. Jamaluddin said, "The allegations are completely false. Tired of the woman's harassment, her sons left the house. They are now trying to trap me. This is all a conspiracy." On the other hand, other residents of the area also accused Jamaluddin of forcibly occupying their land.
