On one hand, the Deoghar district administration is busy preparing for the world-famous Shravani Mela, on the other hand, the sanitation workers of the Municipal Corporation have started a strike and created problems for the administration. 750 sanitation workers of Deoghar Municipal Corporation have gone on strike over their demands.
Due to this the sanitation system of the city has come to a standstill. Also, there is a pile of garbage on the squares and intersections. Due to this, people have found it difficult to live due to the stench.
In this regard, Sanjay Mandal, President of the Safai Karamchari Sangh, said that the sanitation workers working in the Municipal Corporation have not been regularized for the last several years, while the outstanding PF has also not been paid and promotion has been stopped for the last two decades.
He said that the officials of the Municipal Corporation are not serious about the demands of the sanitation workers. Due to this, the sanitation workers of the Municipal Corporation were forced to go on strike.
