During the monthly convention of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), the matter of alleged illegal possession of a property located at 43B Ballygunge Place was brought up.
Reacting to this, the Mayor - Firhad Hakim said that the corporation can't do anything on the matter as it is private property. Mayor Firhad said that he has come to know that promoters are occupying the property illegally.
"KMC does not have the right to free any private property from encroachment or illegal possession", said Firhad. "Unfortunately, KMC can't do anything in this matter. Whatever has to be done, will be done by the police", Firhad added.
