Bullet vending machines installed in grocery chains across US

A Texas-based company, American Rounds has installed vending machines that dispense bullets alongside groceries in several states, including Texas, Alabama, and Oklahoma. These machines, equipped with identification scanners and facial recognition technology, mark a significant step in the debate over gun control in the US, a country with deeply entrenched gun rights.

CEO Grant Magers defended the initiative, stating, "We are very pro-Second Amendment, but we are for responsible gun ownership, and we hope we’re improving the environment for the community." Critics, however, argue that easy access to ammunition could exacerbate existing issues related to gun violence and safety.

The introduction of these vending machines underscores the polarizing nature of gun laws in the US, where private gun ownership is constitutionally protected but fiercely debated. With concerns over public safety and legislative gridlock, the future of such initiatives remains contentious.
