Primary school floor caves in, students fall 5 feet with bench

The floor of Nichu Patina Primary School under Nayagram police station of Jhargram collapsed during class on Wednesday. In this incident, four students fell five feet down along with the bench. After this incident, panic spread in the entire school and the surrounding area.

According to the information received, as soon as the four students sitting on the bench fell into the pit formed due to the collapse of the floor. The teachers immediately rescued them and took them to the primary health center of the area where they were given first aid.

On Thursday, locals said that the school was damaged by floods in the year 2006. This school is about 500 meters away from the Subarnarekha River. Parents are also shocked to see this condition of the school. If the condition of the school is like this, then everyone is thinking about how to send the children to study.

School teacher Anukul Kumar Bera said, "The class started at 11 am and the accident happened around 11:25 am. 4 students were sitting on a bench in that class. It can be seen that suddenly four students fell underground along with the bench. The students were rescued and taken to the hospital."
