A man's body has been recovered from Kolkata's Baghjola canal today afternoon. According to reports, locals witnessed the body stuck in the garbage that had accumulated in the canal. The body was spotted near Salt Lake's A Block.
On closer look, they noticed that the body was decomposing. Immediately, the police were informed.
Cops of Bidhannagar North police station arrived on the spot and recovered the body. The condition of the deceased was horrific which is why his identity could not be ascertained.
Cops sent the body to Bidhannagar Government Hospital for post-mortem. An investigation into this matter has been initiated.
