Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
In a dramatic turn of events, an attempted loot was foiled last evening at the residence of Mr. Dey on Lake Avenue Road. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Tollygunge Police Station.
According to the reports, Mr. Dey's sweeper brought two accomplices with him to the house, and the trio attempted to overpower Mr. Dey. However, their plan was thwarted by the quick thinking of Mrs. Dey, who raised an alarm by making a hue and cry. The commotion forced the attackers to retreat hastily.
In their hurried escape, the assailants allegedly fired a shot. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
Swift action by the Anti-Rowdy Squad (ARS) and the Anti-Dacoity Raids (ADR) unit led to the apprehension of all three suspects. The arrested individuals are residents of a neighboring state, adding a cross-border dimension to the case.
Further investigation is currently underway as authorities seek to uncover more details about the attempted loot and the background of the suspects.
