Team India after winning the T20 World cup final on Saturday are left stranded due to the Hurrican Beryl which has now turned into an “extremely dangerous” Category 4 storm.Beryl's winds have reached 130 miles (209 kilometers) per hour, making it a major Category 4 hurricane, as it moves westward towards Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Grenada, according to the National Hurricane Center's 8 p.m. update. This have led to the closure of the airport at Barbados leading the players of the Indian cricket team and their family to stay back at the Hilton Hotel.
Honarary Sectrary Jay Shah along with the BCCI officials are also stuck in the same hotel along with the players. The BCCI have also planned to get a charter direct to New Delhi but thats not possible due to the closure of the airport in Barbados
Shah, speaking to the media, disclosed that the team is currently "stuck" in Barbados, preventing any plans for a felicitation ceremony once they return to India.
"Like you, we are also stuck here. Once the travel plans are finalized, we will consider the felicitation," Shah informed reporters in Barbados.
