As Bengal swelters under an intense heatwave, residents are anxiously waiting for a break from the relentless high temperatures.
Rain is a much-needed necessity for the people in Bengal. Since April the people have been living under record-breaking temperatures. On several occasions, the government had to take matters into its own hands and issue red alerts to restrict the casualties occurring from severe dehydration.
The Meteorological Department has finally forecasted light rain today and tomorrow in almost all districts of South Bengal. However, the districts of Howrah, Hooghly, Kolkata, and North 24 Parganas are expected to remain dry.
Rain is anticipated to cover all districts of South Bengal starting from June 14. This forecast aims to provide relief to residents experiencing the summer heat.
