A handwritten bomb threat note found on a Vistara flight from Paris to Mumbai sparked a full emergency at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The crew discovered the threat on an airsickness bag and promptly informed authorities. The flight, carrying 294 passengers and 12 crew members, landed safely at 10:19am, and Vistara Airlines confirmed the security concern.
Vistara Airlines spokesperson stated, "We confirm that a security concern has been noted... We are fully cooperating with security agencies for mandatory checks." This incident follows a similar threat on an IndiGo flight from Varanasi to Delhi, determined to be a hoax after investigation.
Vimal Kumar, a passenger on the IndiGo flight, was questioned after his wife made a bomb threat call, citing mental instability. The airline assured that all passengers safely disembarked, and the aircraft is undergoing inspection.
