BJP candidate and Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut cast her vote on Saturday in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, for the seventh phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
After casting vote, Kangana encouraged people to participate in the "festival of democracy." Kangana expressed confidence in the BJP's prospects, saying, "PM Modi's wave is here in Himachal Pradesh. I hope the people of Mandi will bless me and we will secure all four seats in the state. These seats will contribute to '400 paar'."
Addressing concerns about her availability, she assured voters that her entire team would be present in Mandi. "Gone are the days when people won elections solely based on family names. The citizens are now more aware and seek capable leaders," she added.
The Mandi constituency is seeing a high-stakes battle between Kangana Ranaut and Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress party. Singh, son of the late six-time Himachal Pradesh CM, Virbhadra Singh, relies on his father's legacy and the support of his mother, Pratibha Singh, the current MP from Mandi.
