Himachal Pradesh reported the highest voter turnout at 14.35% by 9 am in the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, as per the Election Commission of India. In contrast, Odisha saw the lowest voter turnout at 7.69%. The last phase began on Saturday with voting in the final 57 parliamentary constituencies across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Notably, over 10.06 crore electors, including 5.24 crore males, 4.82 crore females, and 3574 third-gender electors, are expected to vote.
Other states reported varying turnout percentages: Bihar at 10.58%, Chandigarh at 11.64%, Jharkhand at 12.15%, Punjab at 9.64%, Uttar Pradesh at 12.94%, and West Bengal at 12.63%. Overall, the voter turnout across these regions stood at 11.31% till 9 am. This phase also includes crucial assembly by-polls in Himachal Pradesh and the remaining 42 assembly constituencies in Odisha. The Election Commission has enforced a ban on exit polls from April 19 to June 1 to maintain polling integrity.
