England football captain Harry Kane wished the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) good luck ahead of their IPL 2024 playoff clash against the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. In a video released by KKR on social media, Kane sent support on behalf of FC Bayern Munich.
In the video, Kane said, "Hey Kolkata Knight Riders, great start to the season. Wishing all the Knights very best for the remainder of the season. Sending all the support from FC Bayern Munich."
KKR, led by Shreyas Iyer, is the most in-form team among the four in the playoffs, topping the table with nine wins. The opening pair of Sunil Narine and Phil Salt has been crucial to their success, though Salt has returned to England for international duty.
KKR will face SRH today at the Narendra Modi Stadium, with a chance to secure a spot in this year's IPL finals.
