Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
Hours after stirring a political storm by advocating for Muslim reservation in the already ongoing third phase polling, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav now has come up with clarification stating "religion can't be the basis of reservation."
In the afternoon, while talking to the media, he clearly denied giving reservation on the basis of religion saying, "religion can't be the basis of reservation, sociality is the basis."
Earlier in the day, Lalu Prasad Yadav asserted, "Reservation toh milna chahiye Musalmano ko, poora."
Lalu Yadav further said, 'Voting is going on very well. There are huge queues everywhere. All the voting is happening in our favour. BJP people are instigating people because they are scared. There is a provision for reservation... they want to end democracy and the constitution. The public has understood this.'
“BJP wants to abolish the constitution and reservation.. People are aware of its intention. Muslims should get full reservation,” Yadav remarked.
After this, the political temperature heated up. BJP and JDU leaders opposed it. PM Narendra Modi also cited Lalu's statement in a rally in Madhya Pradesh and accused the INDIA alliance of snatching the rights of SC, ST, OBC.
