In Begusarai, three laborers sitting under a mango tree faced electrocution, resulting in the immediate death of one youth while leaving two others critically injured. The incident occurred in Laruara village within the Singhaul police station area. Mahfooz Alam, along with his companions, Mohammad Nimat and Badal Mahato, was resting under the tree after their morning work at the Laruara Chowk depot. Unexpectedly, a surge of 33 thousand volts of electricity flowed through the tree, electrocuting the three individuals. Mahfooz Alam succumbed to the electric shock on the spot, while Mohammad Nimat and Badal Mahato sustained severe injuries, prompting their admission to a private hospital for medical treatment.
Local authorities have initiated legal proceedings, with the police taking custody of Mahfooz Alam's body for further investigation. The deceased's body has been transferred to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The incident has stirred emotions among the relatives of the deceased, with a large number of individuals gathering at Sadar Hospital upon receiving news of the tragedy.
