A devastating fire engulfed a residence in the Kathgola area, opposite Seven Tank of Dumdum, on Sunday morning, triggering emergency efforts to contain the blaze. Upon receiving reports of the incident, two fire engines swiftly arrived at the scene, commencing firefighting operations to mitigate the escalating inferno. Local witnesses reported that the occupants of the house where the fire originated were absent at the time, presumed to be on a morning stroll. Observing the billowing flames around 8:30 a.m., concerned residents promptly alerted the fire brigade, prompting a rapid response.
