According to meteorological reports, the coastal districts of South Bengal are anticipated to witness the commencement of rainfall from Saturday. This will gradually extend across the entire state, accompanied by light to moderate showers on Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, gusty winds are expected to accompany the rainfall.
Until Sunday, hot and muggy weather conditions are projected to persist.
In Kolkata, the minimum temperature on Friday stands at 29.5 degrees Celsius, marking a 3.4-degree Celsius increase from the normal temperature. Thursday recorded a maximum temperature of 39.2 degrees Celsius, surpassing the normal temperature by 3.8 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity levels range from 39 to 89 percent.
