Humayun Kabir who hailed Abhishek and criticized Firhad, apologises after CM Mamata’s reprimand
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian political party to exceed Rs 100 crore in ad spending on Google, including its subsidiary YouTube, marking a significant investment in digital campaigning. This financial feat underscores the BJP's robust digital strategy as it gears up for the Lok Sabha elections.
According to data from the Google Ads Transparency report, the BJP's expenditure on digital campaigns amounts to over Rs 101 crore, equivalent to the combined spending of Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), and Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) since May 2018 when Google began publishing the report. The BJP's dominance in digital advertising is evident, with its ads constituting 26% of the total political ad spending of Rs 390 crore during this period.
