Youth dies after alleged beating at South Garia drug rehab, family vandalizes centre in protest
A 24-year-old man hailing from Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for posing as a Singapore Airlines pilot. The individual, identified as Sangeet Singh, was intercepted at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday, authorities reported.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for safeguarding critical installations such as airports, spotted Singh wandering near the airport's Metro Skywalk area, clad in a pilot's uniform and displaying a Singapore Airlines ID card around his neck.
Investigations revealed that Singh had falsified the ID using an online application called Business Card Maker. He procured the pilot uniform and accessories from Pilot 18, located in Sector 9, Dwarka, according to reports.
Further inquiry uncovered that the impersonator had pursued and successfully completed a 12-month Aviation Hospitality course in Mumbai back in 2020, disclosed an official familiar with the matter.
