Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
Voting is in full swing today across Bihar as citizens cast their ballots for four crucial seats. The first phase of voting sees a total of 38 candidates vying for victory. Security remains a top priority, with a significant deployment of security forces at polling stations to ensure a smooth and safe voting process.
However, in Nawada Lok Sabha, the SLR rifle of a Jawan deployed at a polling booth was stolen. The rifle had 20 rounds of bullets. The incident took place at polling booth number 234 in Pakribarawan police station area. At present, the police is busy searching for the stolen rifle. The Jawan who was negligent has been suspended.
Meanwhile, Gaya polling booth has been made eco-friendly. However, not a single vote has been cast yet at booth number 258 in the Tarapur assembly constituency of Jamui Lok Sabha, which is affected by Naxal activity. The distance of 20 to 25 kilometers has deterred voters from reaching the booth.
