This prestigious accolade, previously conferred upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi and renowned singer Asha Bhosale, recognizes Bachchan's unparalleled dedication and impact on Indian culture and society.
Established in memory of the late Bharat Ratna awardee and legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award by the Deenanath Mangeshkar Smriti Pratishthan aims to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their respective fields. Alongside Bachchan, music maestro AR Rahman and veteran Marathi actor Ashok Saraf will also be honored, highlighting their significant contributions to music and cinema. The ceremony, scheduled for April 24 at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyagruha in Vile Parle, Mumbai, will also recognize several other personalities across various domains, showcasing the diverse talents and achievements within the Indian entertainment industry and beyond.
