Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Wednesday, accusing it of being controlled by a single family and being associated with corruption.
Addressing a rally in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, Modi stated, "DMK has a long history of corruption and is known for its family-centric politics. This party wants to keep Tamil Nadu stuck in outdated thinking and politics, hindering the progress of the state's youth."
He highlighted three main criteria for success within the DMK: involvement in family politics, corruption, and promotion of anti-Tamil culture. Modi further criticized the party for dividing people based on language, region, and faith, stating that the DMK would lose support once people saw through its divisive tactics.
