Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing a rally in Assam's Lakhimpur, emphasized India's firm stance against China's territorial encroachment under the Narendra Modi government.
Shah highlighted the historical context stating "People of Assam will never forget how Jawaharlal Nehru said 'bye-bye' to Assam during the Chinese aggression. Under PM Modi's govt, China couldn't encroach even one inch of our land...Assam and Arunachal Pradesh can never forget 1962."
Shah also targeted the Congress party, particularly Rahul Gandhi, for their past governance and policies. He accused the Congress of neglecting Assam's culture and failing to resolve crucial issues, such as the Ram Mandir dispute.
Additionally, Shah lauded the achievements of the Modi government in Assam, citing the signing of peace agreements and initiation of development projects. He expressed confidence in Assam's future development and emphasized the significance of the Ram temple issue, praising PM Modi's leadership in its resolution.
