In a dramatic turn of events, an accused thief managed to evade capture by leaping from a moving train while being escorted by detectives. The individual, who had been sought by the Kolkata Police Intelligence Department for several years in connection with theft charges, was being transported back to the state on remand after being located in a foreign country.
However, during the journey, the suspect made a daring escape by jumping from the train while it was in motion, leaving authorities baffled.Following the escape, intelligence officials halted the train and conducted a thorough search, but the fugitive remained elusive. A complaint has been filed with the relevant police station, and efforts are underway to track down the accused.
Meanwhile, the Kolkata Police has initiated an internal investigation to determine whether any lapses occurred on the part of officials involved in the transportation of the suspect.
