As the scorching heat intensifies in Howrah, people are worried because the roadside taps, which were important for getting drinking water, have vanished. One of the taps, which hawkers used to maintain, was broken many times, so it was removed, leaving residents and workers without water.
Allegations arise regarding the deliberate destruction of these taps, with suspicions pointing towards the interests of a gold businessman inaugurating a luxurious branch in the Shivpur area. While some acknowledge the presence of the taps, workers refrain from further comment, indicating directives from higher authorities.
Amidst these incidents, contrasting acts of humanity emerge, exemplified by efforts to construct 'piyau' by the organization of Idgah in Howrah Maidan, aiming to provide water to the numerous visitors who often visits Mangalahat.
