Thailand announces e-visa for Indians from Jan 1, 60-day exemption to continue
Last week, Delhi Police apprehended two individuals from Gujarat's Rajkot, identified as Jignesh Malan and Kashyap Kumar Lalani, for allegedly making a nuclear bomb threat at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi. The incident unfolded as the passengers were preparing to board an Akasa Air flight bound for Ahmedabad. Dissatisfied with the security screening, the individuals purportedly questioned its necessity and made the alarming claim, prompting staff intervention and subsequent police involvement.
The apprehended individuals, identified as contractors in the construction industry, had traveled to Delhi from Gujarat for a business meeting regarding the procurement of SS Railings material. Despite being released on bail, both passengers face charges under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 182 and 505 (1)(b). Investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the threat, emphasizing the critical importance of ensuring safety protocols and swift action in airport security incidents.
