Income Tax officials conducted raids on the residences and offices of builders in Bangalore in connection with a tax evasion case. The raids, which took place in the early hours of March 30, targeted more than 20 locations, including KR Puram and Kodigehalli. Documents were thoroughly verified during the operations.
On the same morning, Income Tax Department officials raided the houses and offices of over 20 builders in Bangalore. Last week, officials also conducted raids at more than 10 locations associated with the Meghna Foods Group company in Bangalore. Meghana Foods Company, which operates hotels and restaurants with branches in Koramangala, Indiranagar, and Jayanagar, came under scrutiny following discrepancies found in its income tax payments.
