IT raids on Chetla Sattu Company, EC informed

Intelligence sources disclosed that the Income Tax Department had been engaged in a thorough search operation at the Chetla office of the Sattu manufacturing company for the past 48 hours, with the counting of the recovered cash still ongoing. Officials involved in the operation anticipate the total amount to rise further as the investigation progresses. Interestingly, the owner of the company failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the source of the discovered money and was unable to furnish any supporting documentation.

In adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP), the Income Tax Department promptly notified the Election Commission about the significant cash recovery ahead of the impending elections. Additionally, the company owner has been summoned to appear before the Income Tax Department next week for further questioning. Subsequently, the confiscated money has been secured by authorities pending further investigation into its origins and potential implications.
