Cricket Australia has unveiled the full schedule for India's tour of Australia 2024-25, commencing with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy opener in Perth on November 22. This marks a significant departure from tradition as India will begin their Down Under campaign in Perth for the first time.
The decision underscores India's status as the only team to consecutively defeat Australia in Test series on their home soil.In a departure from the norm, the historic Perth Stadium will host the inaugural Test, while Adelaide Oval, traditionally the venue for the series opener, will hold a Day-Night match.
The tour will proceed with the third Test at the Gabba in Brisbane, while the Boxing Day Test at the MCG in Melbourne and the New Year's Test at the SCG in Sydney maintain their prestigious spots on the schedule.
